Waiting By The Window

This series of selfies (self-portraits) began in August 2013. I swore I'd never ever do a selfie but here I am doing them. I've seen some enviable self-portraits and thought I'd like to try a few. I had just read about creating photography silhouettes when I found myself one Sunday afternoon looking at a beautifully lit window with sheer curtains. Sitting in front of the window with one hand on my cell phone, I took a variety of different shots. I started in one post-processing direction (you'll see these images in another selfie series) and eventually found myself here, creating painterly effects using Portrait Painter and Xn View FX.
